Explore Your Library
Tuesday, April 17th I will be hosting a get to know your library event before and after school from 6:45-7:45 am & 3:45-4:45 pm.
This event will have different stations for you to visit, a small scavenger hunt, as well as prizes and treats (you know I never forget those)!
***Once you have read this post (some of you did this on the last blog post...so you can do it with another comment), comment with something you would like to learn about the library or our library digital resources for a chance to win a prize***
Scholastic Reading Kick Off
The time has come for us to start promoting Summer Reading!
If you have students return our Summer Reading Success Workshop invitation, PLEASE send those to me (Mrs. Benitez).
For the remainder of the school year you will start to see calendars from Aldine Public Library & Barnes and Noble with Events for our students (and your own kids).
We want to make sure that we are encouraging our students to read over the summer, we do not want to see the Summer Slide happen to our students.
Book Check-Out
The last day for book check-out will be April 20th (for students)!
All Library Books will be due May 4th (for students)!
Starting May 7th, I will start sending notices home twice a week with overdue and late books.
***Please make sure students understand they will not get their report cards without taking care of overdue and lost books***
I would like to know if there is a section of the library that has books related to math?
ReplyDeleteIs there online resources that the students have learned about during their library time that they are able to access online during the summer to continue growing as learners? If not is there recommended online resources or other resources in general that you are aware of that the students can access at home for free?
ReplyDeleteIs there a way to look online to see if the library has a book on our end?
ReplyDeleteFree clipart download still ricochets around on the web. clipart library
