Technology Updates

Students Signing in to Google/Chromebooks with Clever.

At this point, ALL Greenspoint Students should sign into the Chromebooks using their Google account information.

Student Username: FL+ Lunch # + @aldine-isd.org (FL123456@aldine-isd.org)
Student Password: FL + Lunch # (FL123456)

If you have NEW students in your class, remember you must reset their passwords in the Aldine ISD Cloud (go to cloud.aldineisd.org) Use the Level Up One/Level Up REFRESH as a resource for assistance.
Once students log in--they are INSTANTLY directed to CLEVER. All apps that students have access to OR that you have requested are available in Clever. Students should not have to type in ANY websites or links. Missing a website? Want to add a link? Please place a tech request so that I can add it to Clever for you!

NOTE: All new enrolls to Aldine takes up to 48 hours for their accounts to become active.

Remember--you can ADD students by inviting them OR you can give students your Class Code for them to join your Classroom.

TELPAS and Google Classroom

- Please ADD Mrs. Bobb as a teacher to your classroom so that she can add assignments (IE the TELPAS Tutorials) for your students.

Remember WIZER.Me???

See separate Blog post for more info on Wizer.

Additional NEWS

Next week--Feb. 5th-8th, your iTech, Mrs. Glass, will be off campus attending a technology conference for the district.

What's the process to make sure the week runs smoothly?

1. SUBMIT a TECH REQUEST.
Click HERE or go to the link found on the Aldineisd.org Bookmarks

I get these notifications INSTANTLY and the Mendel iTech, Mrs. Lopez will be available to check on any issues and submit Work Orders to Tech Services as needed.

Please submit the Tech Request on the FORM, not in the library. This is the quickest way to resolve your issues. Patience is needed, however. It might be up to a week turn around. Technology Services and the technicians are aware of the situation.

2. Reach out to your GRADE Level Technology Crew/Committee Members!

1st grade- Bailey/Monroy
2nd grade- Jimenez/Griffin
3rd grade- Johnson
4th grade- Becerra/Morris
Ancillary/Other Support- Benitez/Antle

The people listed above know how to contact me. They also are able to trouble shoot issues that might come up. Please be patience with all of the people listed above as they are classroom teachers--just like you.

Please follow me on Twitter/Instagram/Youtube LIVE as well as Periscope (using the hashtag #TCEA18, #TCCA2018, #GlassTCEA) as I will be posting about the conference while I'm away.

Using Wizer.Me in YOUR Classroom

There's been lots of conversation about Wizer.Me for your students lately.

Was it too much info in one sitting? Possibly. This post should help.

First--make sure you have a Google Classroom set up. It makes creating assignments for your students simple. Check the lasted Technology Updates BLOG post for more assistance for setting up your Google Classroom.

Why Wizer.me?

  • It allows you to create assignments that can be read to students AND students can respond verbally.
  • This is extremely beneficial for TELPAS. It provides students with opportunities to practice listening and speaking in preparation of TELPAS Testing.
  • It can be used in the classroom as exit tickets, quick reviews, etc.
How do I create a Wizer.me account?
  1. Go to Wizer.me
  2. Click sign up.
  3. Make sure you sign up as a TEACHER.
  4. Sign in with Google!
  5. Link and accept your district Google Account.

You might have some of these questions as well..Click the question, to find out the answer!
